đź“ś Book Publishing Service-Only Agreement

This Book Publishing Service-Only Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into by and between Catherine B. Roy LLC / LHM International by Catherine B. Roy (“we,” “our,” or “us”) and the individual or entity purchasing a publishing service package (“Author,” “you,” or “your”), effective as of the date payment is submitted by the Author.
​By submitting payment, the Author confirms their understanding and acceptance of the following terms and conditions.
1. Scope of Services
​
We provide professional book publishing services based on the specific package selected by the Author.
​This is a service-only arrangement. The Author is the sole Publisher of the book, which is independently self-published under the Author's name.
Our services may include, but are not limited to:
Manuscript editing and proofreading
Formatting for digital (eBook), paperback, hardcover, and audiobook formats
Interior layout and cover design
ISBN assignment (where applicable)
Publishing to Amazon for print and digital formats
Distribution to platforms such as Apple Books, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, and others via Draft2Digital
Audiobook distribution across relevant global platforms
Press release, bestseller strategy, and promotional support (as included in the selected package)
Account creation and transfer for full Author control
Each package outlines the included services. Any additional services must be requested and agreed upon separately in writing.
2. Author Responsibilities and Material Submission

The Author agrees to provide the following in a timely manner:
Manuscript content that is original, not ghostwritten, and not generated using artificial intelligence tools
A short and long biography
A high-resolution author photo (300 DPI) for publishing use
If not using our design services: editable cover files and any internal graphic elements in high-resolution and appropriate formats (300 DPI, .psd, Canva design links, .png and/or .jpeg)
Any additional materials required per the selected package
Failure to submit required materials may cause delays or suspension of the project without refund.
3. Ownership, Rights, and Royalties

The Author retains 100% copyright ownership and all intellectual property rights to their work.
Upon delivery and completion of services, the Author receives full access and ownership of the publishing accounts (Amazon KDP and Draft2Digital).
We do not claim any ongoing rights, royalties, commissions, or revenue after the services are completed.
The Author has full control and responsibility for their publishing accounts, including book pricing, distribution choices, and sales tracking.
4. Service Nature and Refund Policy

This is a service-based engagement, not a publishing contract or royalty-sharing model. Due to the customized and non-reversible nature of the services:
All payments are final and non-refundable once the process begins.
The Author acknowledges that fees cover the time, expertise, setup, and delivery of the final publishing materials. Refunds are not provided under any circumstances, including if the Author decides not to proceed, delays in providing materials, or changes their mind.
5. Legal and Copyright Compliance

The Author warrants that:
All submitted content is their original, legally-owned intellectual property
The work does not infringe on the rights of any third parties
No part of the manuscript is plagiarized or improperly sourced
Any external contributors (e.g., editors, illustrators) have released rights as needed
​We are not liable for any legal disputes, defamation claims, or copyright infringements related to the content provided by the Author.
6. Physical Copies and Distribution
The Author may order physical copies of their book through Amazon KDP at production cost
Distribution and availability of physical and digital formats vary depending on platform and territory
Extended distribution may be enabled where possible, including global booksellers and libraries
7. Post-Publication Responsibility
Once services are complete and accounts are transferred, the Author is solely responsible for:
Managing and updating their accounts
Handling royalties, taxes, marketing, or future edits
Compliance with publishing platform terms and conditions
We offer no guarantee of book sales, bestseller status, or media coverage unless explicitly outlined in the selected package.
8. Limitation of Liability
Our liability under this Agreement is strictly limited to the value of the purchased package. Under no circumstances will we be liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, lost profits, or reputational harm resulting from the publishing process.
9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State , where we are legally registered and operate. Any disputes shall be resolved under the jurisdiction of the courts in that state.
10. Entire Agreement
This Agreement represents the full and complete understanding between the Author and us. No other representations, promises, or communications shall be binding unless agreed upon in writing.
​By submitting payment for any publishing service package, the Author acknowledges and agrees to the terms of this Agreement in full.
